Abstract:

In MANET, nodes are connected to each other using wireless channel. There is not fix of static base station or other infrastructure  support in such networks. Mobile adhoc networking is gaining importance with the increasing communication infrastructure of the existing infrastructure is expensice or inconveninent to use. Due to the mobile nature of nodes in network, this network is vulnerable; there will be possibility of various attacks.

Here in this proposed work, we will analysis the performance of AODV protocol, when a node in network behaves like a malicious node and dropped the entire incoming packet. We will analysis of performance metricces like PDF, NRL, malicious node. The simulation wil lbe performed on NS-2 simulator.
